  • Webinar: Talking about dissociation

In this panel discussion we talk honestly about the issues that can arise in this area, and how you can help young people feel more comfortable during the conversation. We are going to be covering specific areas such as: the different ways that someone who is dissociated may present, as well as ways to identify and help someone when experiencing the fight, flight, freeze response. You can hear directly from young people with lived experience, and learn some techniques to support them when this happens.

  • Webinar: Talking about support networks

Young people’s support networks play a vital role in their mental health and wellbeing. But how do we know who is in a support network, and how should we involve the young person in communication between services and their networks? This webinar explores this topic in more detail, with an expert panel of young people with lived experience sharing their views, and those of other young people who have been consulted on the issue. We interrogate our own assumptions of who makes up a support network and how these assumptions inform the care that the young person receives.

  • Webinar: Talking about admissions

A panel discussion that explores the sometimes difficult conversations around admissions into any inpatient unit or hospital setting. Sometimes, a young person will want to be admitted and this is not possible. In other cases, it is the opposite. This webinar will explore how to discuss these situations in a meaningful and collaborative way and ensure that young people are listened to and feel heard throughout the process.
